Aetna First-Year Writing Award
Coordinated by the First-Year Writing Program and sponsored by the Aetna Chair of Writing, this award recognizes an excellent expository writing/nonfiction piece composed in a first-year writing class. It is open to first-year undergraduate students at any UConn campus and high school students participating in the Early-College Experience English program.
Aetna Graduate Teaching of Writing Award
This award is sponsored by the Aetna Chair of Writing and recognizes the dedication and innovation of graduate students who teach writing at the University of Connecticut. It is open to any currently-enrolled graduate student teaching a first-year writing course at UConn.
